Hong Kong Polytechnic University Invites JCA SHS Students to Hong Kong

August 24, 2017- Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU), ranked 6th in the world 2017 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rankings for universities under 50 years old to 95th in the World QS list, visited JCA to invite and motivate the Senior High School (SHS) students to pursue their undergraduate degrees in Hong Kong. The QS World University ranking is an annual publication of university rankings worldwide.

Mr. Carl Tang, Manager of HKPU’s International Affairs Office, shared with the students the different programs of the university, wherein they foster interests and skills through service learning and applied research.


Assistant Professor  of HKPU’s Department of Engineering, Dr. Steven T. Boles expounded on  the merits of pursuing a degree in engineering.

“A degree in engineering can be a good start to a career in medicine or business…The faculty of engineering makes up over 5,000 students— 20% of which come from abroad.” Mr. Boles explained.


Some students asked eagerly about the programs they can pursue in HKPU.
