BuriBooks Winners

The Elementary Department of Jubilee Christian Academy would like to extend our congratulations to the winners of the 2019 BuriBooks Drawing Contest. The announcement came out on April 6, 2020. The winners are Caitlyn Danielle Oh (4-Kabayanihan), Magnus Alexander Cabilangan (6-Milton), and Sophia Joyce Ong (6-Milton). 

BuriBooks is an e-library that contains titles in both English and Filipino languages. The selection was made available by Adarna House, a publishing company for Filipino literature. Since September 2019, JCA subscribes to this online platform to develop students’ love for reading and enhance their Filipino vocabulary.

For this year, BuriBooks featured two titles from its library. These are The Yellow Paperclip with Bright Purple Spots by Nikki Dy-Liacco and Luis and the Enchanted Creatures by Marcy Dans Lee.

The winners used their creativity and imagination to provide for alternate ending for these featured stories.

Once again, congratulations to all of the winners. Your achievement is welcome news amidst this Enhanced Community Quarantine. It is a good reminder of God’s unending grace to the JCA. May everyone continue to be well and safe.
