PAASCU PRELIMINARY VISIT
The High School Department received warmly the Visiting Team of accreditors from the
Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) last July 28 and 29, 2011. The preliminary visit was conducted by a group of highly qualified educators with specializations in faculty, instruction, physical facilities, administration, student services, and community relations.
The two-day visit included classroom observations, assessment of the status of facilities, and interviews with key Board and Management staff, faculty, parents, students, alumni, and ancillary staff. Aside from the extensive presentation and exhibit of all documentations in support of the School’s mission, vision, and philosophy, two exhibit rooms were prepared to showcase the JCA culture in the integration of students’ projects in English, Filipino, Chinese, Chroistian Formation, and Makabayan as well as the integration of Math and Science projects through life patterns and applications, creativity and imagination, and innovation.

The School will await the recommendations of the PAASCU Visiting Team so that appropriate moves can be taken to address specific concerns. While awaiting their report, JCA in general and the HS Department in particular will continue to work for quality and excellence as a fitting offering to our Almighty God for all the blessings, gifts, and talents He has bestowed everyone.

2011 Singapore International Mathematics Competition (SIMC) - High School

Congratulations!

Shawn Gabriel Sy, 10 Solomon, won a gold medal for the 123-member Philippine team in the 2011 Singapore International Mathematics Competition (SIMC) last July 30 & 31 at the Global Indian International School.
The Philippines ranked 3rd overall to China and South korea, 1st and 2nd placers, respectively. Shawn is training with the Mathematics Trainers Guild-Philippines aside from the JCA Math Training Program.
