#ArtOnline

Have you ever wondered how an online Arts class goes?

If yes, then read on.

This article gives you a sneak peek into the 1-Jasmine’s Art Class taught by Ms. Glory Jane Elacion.

Before this day’s class session, Ms. Elacion gave instructions for students to have a printed copy of their favorite pets. She pre-selected animal outlines and uploaded them in the Google Classroom.

Today, September 30, 2020, at the beginning of the session, the Grade 1 students took time to color the outline of their favorite animals.

One of them would raise his or her paper to show his or her progress to the class. Ms. Elacion would then give some comments or encouragements to the student.

After 20 minutes, Ms. Elacion started calling for volunteers to show their work to their classmates. They also explained why they chose the animal they featured as one of their favorites.

Some of the cute explanations given are as follows.

Lion – It is strong.

Cat – I like my cat.

Dog – I love my dog.

Dolphin – I want to play with it.

Horse – I was born on the year of the horse.

Fish – I love watching my fish in the aquarium.

Upon hearing these explanations, some of the classmates who selected the same animal also gave their reactions. Reactions on the chatbox contain words like “me too.”

Ms. Elacion then asked the students to allow their learning partners to take a picture of their work to be submitted through the Google Classroom.

This glimpse of the Art Class of Grade 1-Jasmine shows us that online learning can be just as fun and exciting. The teacher, students, and learning partners working hand in hand are what make this possible.
