Looking Back @ August

Today, August 31, 2021, marks the end of the 1st month of S.Y. 2021-2022.

It is great to see how the Jubilee Christian Academy adjusted to the “new normal” learning setup.

Unlike the previous school year, Grade 1 students came in knowing how to go about the Google Meet and Google Classroom. The orientation week with them is fun and exciting. Only a handful needed help on how to set up their devices or access files or applications.

For the Grades 2 to 6 students, their experiences from the previous school year came in handy. The orientation week was more of a review of the skills they have learned in class and sharing the newest updates of their learning platforms.

The Elementary teachers are more confident in delivering their classes via the online setup. The past school year taught them the necessary skills. Their desire to improve and hone their craft led them to explore different applications. They have also learned new ways to make the classes more engaging for the students.

Most of the parents are also pros of JCA’s current teaching and learning setup. They have more confidence and a concrete idea of how things are in this relatively new learning environment.

There are still a lot of things to improve on. But we would like to take time and thank God for this progress. Though simple they may seem to be, these are small steps forward and not backward.

More months of learning and teaching are ahead of us. It is the hope of this School that everyone will continue to lend us their usual support and understanding as we make things better.
