New Way of Learning

Today, September 30, 2020, marks the end of the first month of the fully online learning of Jubilee Christian Academy.

Admittedly, there were a number of “hiccups” encountered. A lot of adjustments were done to make this new set-up work. These adjustments were not limited to the technology and familiarity with the learning tools.

Changes in personal routines and household dynamics were also made. And perhaps among the most challenging of all is the recalibration of mindsets. This latter greatly impacts one’s attitude towards this new way of learning.

This month also put to test the plans and theories that teachers learned in the past six months. Some worked, others needed refinement.

But by the grace of God, the learning inside the virtual classrooms continues. Through the combined effort of the entire JCA community, fun and creativity are still seen in the different class sessions.

There are still a lot of things done in the face to face classes that we miss. Right now, the entire community is in the process of getting more comfortable in this new learning platform. Eventually, we can already open our eyes wider and appreciate the new cool things made possible by this current set up.

As we welcome the month of October, the students can look forward to an enhanced learning experience. This is made possible by the enthusiasm of the JCA personnel and parents who support them to continue exploring ways to enhance their online teaching.

Let us be one, as members of the JCA community, in praying for success in this new endeavor. Let us claim the promise of Mark 10:27.
