SSP and Creativity

Creativity doesn’t wait for that perfect moment. It fashions its own perfect moments out of ordinary ones.

As of this writing, March 30, 2020, the Jubilee Christian Academy is on to its 3rd week of the Self-Study Program (SSP). This program is one of the school’s creative solutions to enable students to continue learning during the enhance quarantine period.

Students and teachers get a chance to expand their teaching and learning experiences through this program. There were some challenges encountered during the first week. However, the different subject areas made the necessary adjustments to address the concerns raised. An example is the use of Google Hangout for online teaching.

For the Elementary Department, the Science Area had its first online teaching last Friday, March 27, 2020. The Math Area will conduct their first online teaching on March 31, 2020. It is hoped that this will help the students have a better understanding of their Science and Math lessons.

During the first session of the online teaching, the students who attended showed enthusiasm as they participate in the discussions. They were also happy to see their teacher and some of their classmates online.

Aside from participating well in the online teaching, majority of the students are submitting their homework.

Some of their creative outputs are as follows:

In the Computer class, Grade 3 students designed robots that have abilities to help people during this health emergency. One of the creative outputs submitted is from Sean Connor Lim (3-Daniel). His Probot has the following cool features:

Good job everyone. Thank you for choosing to do your best.

Meanwhile, let us find time to thank God for He is still in control of this situation. Let us pray that this health emergency will be over soon. Let us pray that He will continue to protect us. In our prayers, let us also remember our front liners as well as those who need help at this time.

God bless.
