JCA Holds Its First Online Parents Conference

School Year 2020-2021 is unlike any other school year. It will be a school year of “firsts”.

To help parents adjust to the new modality of learning, Jubilee Christian Academy (JCA) held its first-ever four-day Online Parents Conference with the theme, “Triumph Over the Challenges of the New Normal” from August 12 to 17, 2020 via Google Meet/Zoom.

Different sessions were organized for parents and guardians to help them be more confident in facing the upcoming school year and learn about common concerns from experts as well as Department principals and selected teachers.

On August 12, Mrs. Carol B. Seming hosted the Meet the Preschool Principal session. She shared about the triumphs and challenges of SY 2019-2020 and presented the Preschool programs for SY 2020-2021. Online lesson samplers were also made available for parents to view. Ms. Maria Sophia Laurente represented the Preschool.

There were learning sessions with Dr. Lilian Gui on the topic “Parenting in the New Normal” on August 13.

Parents and Guardians also had a chance to learn about online platform thru “Introduction to Online Learning” by Akadasia on August 13 or 14 and “Google Classroom” by Mr. Rene Guivelondo on August 17.

Overall, this year’s Online Parents Conference helped the parents become more confident in facing the new school year with hope, joy, and faith in the Lord because the Lord promised in Isaiah 41:13, “For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”
