53 Years of Serving the Community for God’s Glory! by: Cate Ong of 9-Sun Yat Sen and Eliza Tan of 8-Aristotle

Special Junior High School (JHS) 53rd Foundation Day and Thanksgiving Chapel Services were held last February 7, 2020 at the JE Chapel. Though the planned 53rd Foundation Day Fair was cancelled the Jubilee community continued to gather in a number of pocket activities in celebration of God’s faithfulness to JCA.

The two JHS services started with an opening prayer led by Bianca Louise G. Tan of Grade 8-Aristotle (for the G7-G8 service) and Cate Jasmine G. Ong of G9-Sun Yat Sen (for the G9-G10 service). The prayer was followed by the singing of praise and worship songs led by the Praise Team of the respective batches.

Teatro Jubilano also gave a special performance centering on the journey of an individual who has to make a tough decision of whether to give in to his personal desires or to listen to God’s voice calling him to dedicate his life to missions. The performers were trained by Teatro Jubilano Moderator, Mrs. Vanessa Antiporda.

Elder Christopher Beltran, Chairman of the Jubilee Evangelical Church (JEC) Council and son of former JCA Director, Dr. Beltran, delivered God’s message where he stressed following the only Light of the world, Jesus, and shielding our thoughts from the darkness. He also emphasized making use of one’s youth to share the light Jesus has given us.

Another highlight of the program was the awarding ceremonies where JCA Personnel, parents and alumni were given awards for their unwavering service and honour brought to JCA. JCA also took time to honour individuals who have worked selflessly in realising the dream for the 4th Street Building Project. This includes Mrs. Annette Esparaz, Assistant Treasurer of the JCA Academy Board of Trustees, and Engineer Manuel Clemeña.

The program ended with a closing prayer led by Reverend Joel Pan.

May JCA continue to serve the community to glorify His name for another 53 years! To God be the glory!
