G7 and G10 Students Virtual Brothers’ Keepers by: Cate Ong, G10 Solomon

The Brother’s Keepers 2020 with the theme “Stay Connected” was held on November 9 to 10, 2020 via Google Meet. Grade 7 and 10 students participated in the activity.

The event focused on the effects of the pandemic and the quarantine on how the students communicated with their friends and family, innovative ways to stay connected with classmates, friends, and family members and creating and strengthening the sibling bond and friendship between students of different batches.

The 50-minute event consisted of two main activities that the JHS students enjoyed:

• G10 representatives shared their high school experiences and some tips on how Grade 7 students will be able to adjust to the new department smoothly.
  
• Students from Grade 7 and Grade 10 work together in a group with eight members. Each group answered a set of questions and presented their answers in a creative way through Google Jamboard. 

At the end of the event, the students were able to gain inspiration and understanding which will help them make better decisions this school year and create lasting bonds that they will surely treasure. The event ended successfully with students’ smiling faces and new found friendship.
