JHS Students Bag Third Spot in the 13th G-EPIC

On January 21, 2020, Bernyce Christiana Dy and Gabe Thomas Tan of 10 Solomon and Mikaela Joy Wang of 10 Purity won Third Place Overall in the 13th Grace – English Proficiency Inter-school Competition (G-EPIC) held at Julia L. Tan Auditorium, Grace Christian College, Quezon City.

The annual competition with the theme, “The Youth, Thoroughly Equipped Today, Will Be the Leaders That Make a Difference Tomorrow, ” is made up of two rounds—the Written Quiz Bee and the Oratorical Speech Round, where Gabe Thomas Tan represented the team to deliver his oratorical speech. The fifteen competing teams from different junior high schools were ranked based on the averages in the two rounds of competition.

As Third Place Overall winner, JCA’s team received medals for finishing 3rd place in the Written Quiz Bee and a trophy for emerging 3rd place in the championship round.
