Students Display Artistic Prowess in the Digital Age

Grade 9 and 10 students showcase their artistic prowess through artworks created via digital drawing. These artworks which are outputs in their first quarter Arts class aim to create digital paintings that emphasize the presence of each art element in a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing digital still life drawing.

Ms. Maria Aileen Viñas, JHS Arts Teacher and a painter herself, guided the students in the process of creating their own masterpiece by showing them how to create one through a time lapse video and by showing them the do’s and don’ts of digital painting through the use of visual comparison.

To encourage her students in creating artworks she always tells her students “Patience is the key. It is really hard at first. It takes a lot of mistakes before one can finish a digital work. But it is all worth it at the end.”

Ms. Viñas has artworks displayed at the Pinto Art Museum in Antipolo, Tin-Aw Gallery in Makati, and Sining Kamalig Gallery in Quezon City to name a few.

Be amazed at these masterpieces from the Grade 9 and 10 Students!
