iPahayag Mo: The Power of Knowing and Understanding

On November 13, 2019, the Filipino and Social Science Areas held its co-curricular activity with the theme: “iPayahag Mo: Mga Usaping Sinuri sa Iba’t Ibang Perspektibo” at the Jubilee Christian Academy (JCA) Community Hall.

iPahayag Mo was hosted by Zachary Amin of 11 Paul and Lishannah Tan of 12 Martin Luther.  The program started with an opening prayer led by Chloe Barraza of 11 Peter. Then,  it was formally opened by Mrs. Nancy Ramos, Senior High School (SHS) Principal by challenging both JCA students and personnel  “to be responsible digital citizens”. Mr. Ernesto S. Deato Jr., former JCA Filipino Teacher also graced the program and served as one of the judges to evaluate the students performances.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The highlight of the program showcased the SHS students prowess in Live News Broadcasting in Grade 11 and Reality Current Affairs Talkshow in Grade 12. Jershon Ang, Janssen Yulangco, Thania Calderon, Danica Tan, Vanessa Uy, and Krizchelle Wong of Grade 11 Peter won the Best Live News Broadcasting while Ethan Abigan, Riana Bautista, Janine Chua Ching, Ellise Lim, Juliana Loo, and Kiahna Siy of 12 Martin Luther won the Best Reality Current Affairs Talkshow.

Truly, this Area Activity has ignited students’ cultural and societal connection through the Filipino Language and current local issues.
