JCA Holds Its First Ever Virtual Parents Conference

In response to the challenges brought by COVID-19, Jubilee Christian Academy (JCA) Senior High School (SHS) Department held its first ever Virtual Conference, “Triumph Over the Challenges of the New Normal” on August 13, 2020, 2:00 PM-3:00 PM.

Mrs. Nancy R. Ramos, SHS Principal, led the Meet the Principal session of the Parents Conference. She shared that in spite of all the unprecedented global health challenges brought by the pandemic, the Lord still has blessed the JCA community with milestones that everyone should be thankful for. These include the following:

• The success of the First Ever Virtual Graduation for Batch 2020
• Impressive University Placement Results
• Promising Advanced Placement Results 
• Personnel Professional Certification 

To guide both parents and students in the new mode of learning, Mrs. Ramos also presented pertinent updates on aspects of the SHS Online Learning, S.Y. 2020-2021. She emphasized  the balance of synchronous and asynchronous learning activities,  Google Classroom as teaching and learning platform, how to create a conducive learning space at home for students and the importance of the line of communication in a virtual learning environment. She also introduced the SHS Team composed of area coordinators and subject teachers.  The session culminated with a Q and A to shed some light on questions of participants regarding the presentation. Overall, the virtual meeting has created an opportunity for participants to gain confidence by understanding how SHS gears up for Online Learning S.Y. 2020-2021.
