Jubileans Join Young Entrepreneurs’ Convention 2021

On February 13, 2021, Accountancy Business and Management (ABM)  students joined the virtual Young Entrepreneurs’ Convention 2021: Ground Breakers. This virtual convention inspired the students to adapt  to the new socio-economic realities brought about by the pandemic and give them opportunities to plan and actualize their own businesses in an online setting.

Angel Sophia Yang, David Angelo Lim, Veronica Jane Chua, Gabriel Joseph Co, Aleeyah Francine Tan, and Kirsten Leigh Chiu of 12 Dwight Moody attended the virtual bootcamp where they learned from Mr. Lowell Tiu, founder and general Manager of Shoshin Solution, Mr. Nick Padilla, co-founder and space captain at Kahon.ph, Mr. Sean Si, founder and editor-in-chief of SEO Hacker, and Ms. Ryza Rabino, a third year business administration and accountancy student from UP Diliman. Participants also had a chance to propose a business strategy to help Kahon.ph., a company that offers affordable and flexible storage solutions with their storage boxes and spaces for rent, to expand and be known in Metro Cebu.

 “It was a great learning experience… to be exposed to various business methods courtesy of the experienced speakers sharing with us their expertise. I learned about why people start businesses and how they do it. I also learned that a lot of these people often start small, had multiple failed / stagnate businesses…before reaching where they are right now,” Angel quipped.

Truly, this virtual convention has empowered the senior high school students with valuable business insights the now normal.
